Congratulations to Mohammad Salehizadeh for his upcoming paper – Two-Agent Formation Control of Magnetic Microrobots – which has been selected as a Best Conference Paper nominee for the International Conference on Manipulation, Automation and Robotics at Small Scales (MARSS 2016)! His work will allow multiple microrobotic agents to work together in close proximity while sharing the same workspace.
Congratulations! The research presented by Patrick in the ICRA 2016, i.e., “Five-Degree-of-Freedom Magnetic Control of Micro-Robots Using Rotating Permanent Magnets”, is featured in the IEEE Spectrum “Video Friday” Series. Here is a link to it.
Professor Eric Diller has been awarded an NSERC Engage Plus grant. The project, entitled “High-speed addressable magnetic microfluidic valving,” will be conducted in partnership with Bio-Rad Canada.
The first inter-lab sport game between Microrobotics Lab (Prof. Diller) and Water and Energy Research Lab (Prof. Bilton) was successfully held in the High Park Curling Club. After the exciting game, we had a wonderful dinner together!
